A summary of my 2019 research into Tesla’s battery R&D efforts, and speculation that they will announce a 1M mile battery at the upcoming 2020 battery & powertrain investor day. This breakthrough (likely partly due to Maxwell Technologies) has major implications for electric vehicle performance and the adoption of renewable energy.
